Is it true that the spouse of a person in the Military is not required to work and can be claimed as a dependa?

Dependant? Someone told me I could claim my wife as a dependant if she doesn't work?Is it true that the spouse of a person in the Military is not required to work and can be claimed as a dependa?
Your wife will be your military dependent no matter if she works or not. This is the US no one is REQUIRED to work, but it helps if you like to eat. You can claim her on your taxes if she makes under so much money a yr. You would have to check with the IRS for that amount. Is it true that the spouse of a person in the Military is not required to work and can be claimed as a dependa?
better yet if she does work or not you can file a joint return with standard deductions for a married couple the military doesn't require a civilian dependant to do anything except go by their rules when residing on a military post
I'm sorry, but you are in the military and do not know the answer to this?
ur wife is an automatically ur dependent ... it doesnt matter if she works or not
