Can foreigners buy condominium apartment or landed property in Bangkok for investment but spouse is not Thai?

Are there any restrictions on this if foreigner does not have a Thai spouse, is neither a PR in Thai nor have any business in Thailand? Can foreigners buy condominium apartment or landed property in Bangkok for investment but spouse is not Thai?
Yes foreigners can buy condos with no problems. The following link is to a American man who now lives and works in Thailand assisting people. His information is usually up to date. Within 6 months at worse

Though a foreigner can own land and the building, it has become harder to do so. His explaination of this is about 1/2 way down the page. I heard and read about what he was saying recently and it was accurate.

Also, if you do buy a condo, make sure you have a reputable attorney representing you who can followup with the paperwork. There have been many times where people, locals and foreigners, have beem scammed. Property sold multiple times, sold and the seller you meet is not the owner etc.

I am not suggesting you use him or his services. I have found that what he says, I have verified from other sources and it all is true. He just happens to be into computers and make a living out of helping others, at least that is his story. :-)

Good luckCan foreigners buy condominium apartment or landed property in Bangkok for investment but spouse is not Thai?
Yes, they can buy condominiums. Provided 51% of the condominiums in the property are owned by Thai nationals. Land or houses are not, or at least much more difficult to buy.

If you can finance the property, the bank will not have any problems. You can get a mortgage. You do not need a Thai spouse for that, but it makes it easier if you have one.
